This event is a good example of what can be achieved by private sector and government working together towards a common goal.
Small countries need to work a little harder for success, and to work a little harder to find their niche. But they also can make things happen more quickly than bigger countries.
TOP 100 contest: Sixth year, but first time Cambodia has participated – it will give Cambodian tech companies a chance to meet and compete with their regional counterparts, meet investors, and large tech companies in Singapore.
Win or lose, everyone will gain valuable experience from this event. Need to organize a get-together afterwards to share experiences. Chanda/Chris!
The Echelon Summit is an opportunity to put Cambodia’s tech sector on the map – everyone here will be an ambassador for Cambodia’s tech sector in June – encourage people to make the most of it.
We hope to help set up a program for participants with the U.S. technology sector, such as Microsoft, Facebook, Google and some of the American VC firms.
The Ministry, Smart and the U.S. Embassy are also working together on a tech report that will support our common goal of raising international awareness of Cambodia’s tech sector and we hope a preliminary version will be available in time for the summit.
