Khmer Foundation Appraisal (KFA) has become the sales agent of WorldBridge Land (Cambodia) to offer sales service, administration and evaluation on customer data for middle and low-income earners and civil servants buying affordable public housing.

This partnership came after WorldBridge Land and KFA signed an agreement on Saturday.

WorldBridge Land’s chairman Sear Rithy said that the partnership is to offer services to customers that are transparent, trustworthy and fair because the sales agent will have to follow all principles set by the government and WorldBridge Land.

“As a project developer, we could not play a role as the sales agent since we focus only on the project development to ensure that people get a comfortable and secure place to live,” Mr. Rithy said.

He said KFA will be responsible for handing over registration forms to customers and keying data into the system for the selection process to choose the right customers for the housing.

He said the company will officially announce sales before Khmer New Year this year. Registration will take about two months. The company will give out the closing date of registration after the project reaches its target.

“Today, we open registrations for those who want to purchase our housing. We will take about two months to study whether customers can meet the requirements. If so, we will call them to book. We are open for about 100 to 150 applications per day,” Mr. Rithy said.

Those who want to buy a home must first visit the showroom to register, be the real buyer and bring a photo, registration form, identity card, family book, civil servant identity card, and marriage certificate for newlywed couples.

WorldBridge Land signed an agreement at the end of last month with a money transfer company and a legal firm as part of its initiative to start the kingdom’s first affordable housing project.

Under the deal, Ly Hour Group will facilitate the money transfer of potential buyers, and Sok Siphana & Associates will offer legal assistance to prospective homeowners.

“We will have a representative from Sok Siphana legal firm to offer consultations to potential homebuyers,” Mr. Rithy said.

“We want to provide a convenient way for the rural people to make payments and transfer their money to the contractor via Ly Hour money transfer services.”
The agreement was intended to build trust between the company and the public.
