The inauguration of Kirirom Institute of Technology

Kirirom Institute of Technology (KIT), situated in Phnom Sruoch District, Kampong Speu Province, was inaugurated on Tuesday, in the presence of Mr. Hidehisa Horinouchi, Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia, and Mr. Yok Gnoy, secretary of state at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport.

According to Mr. Heng Vuthy, vice president of the KIT, so far, 78 Cambodian students were studying at the institute that had provided them scholarship for their study. The institute was also providing them free food, free housing, and free transport.

Mr. Heng added that students who chose to study at KIT, could choose any major they like among six majors provided by KIT. Those majors were software engineering, computer system analysis, computer networking, accounting, management, English language, and Japanese language.

KIT was established in 2014 by Mr. Takeshi Izuka. Currently, the institute is open for Cambodian students as well as other international students who wish to experience the KIT education approach. With the institute's sponsorship program, students could have the opportunity to live and work abroad after successfully completing the course.

"Being situated on top of Kirirom Mountain, the environment provides a quiet, and conducive atmosphere for learning," wrote KIT on its website.
