A Facebook user under the screenname «Little Dragon of Asia» (កូននាគអាស៊ី), on Saturday, wrote that the opposition party CNRP would be dissolved in November 2017, and 100 CNRP lawmakers would be banned from doing politics for five years.

"[...] in sum, I would like to tell you [Sam Rainsy] that the CNRP would be dissolved in November, and 100 lawmakers would be banned from doing politics for five years," wrote the Facebook user.

According to Fresh News, the Facebook user is supposed to be a high ranking government official close to Prime Minister Hun Sen, because all his statements on Facebook are always true, and the government has done exactly what he has been saying.

The Facebook user added that Mr. Sam Rainsy himself has also committed offences leading to the dissolution of the CNRP. For example, in 1998 ,in a protest, Mr. Rainsy called on the US Government to launch cruise missile to destroy Prime Minister Hun Sen's house, and in 2011, Mr. Rainsy called on the Cambodian Armed Forces to turn their gun against the the current government etc.

"I, the Little Dragon of Asia, has been informed by the Supreme Court that the dissolution of the CNRP will take place before the end of November 2017. And the trial of Kem Sokha will happen next," added the Facebook user.

The statement of the Facebook user came after Mr. Rainsy posted a video clip on his Facebook page on October 26 from Italy saying that the CNRP would not be dissolved, and Prime Minister Hun Sen, under pressure from foreign countries, would surrender.

On Friday, in a meeting with government officials at the Peace Palace, Prime Minister Hun Sen said that he did not care about a possible visa sanction imposed by the US Government if Mr. Sokha would not be released before November 9th.

According to Mr. Phay Siphan, spokesman for the Council of Minister, during the meeting, the premier said that he did not have time to go to visit the US. But, it would be a different issue for other government officials who need to go to that Superpower country.

The premier also said that he did not have money deposited in bank account abroad, all he had was only the money for the development of schools for education purpose.

US Senator Ted Cruz, on Monday, has called on the Cambodian government led by Prime Minister Hun Sen to release opposition leader Kem Sokha by November 9. If not, the senator would urge the US Government to impose a visa sanction to high ranking Cambodian government officials.

In a letter to Cambodian Ambassador to the United States and Mexico Chum Bun Rong, the senator said that the charge against Mr. Sokha for treason was politically motivated and a move to evade democratic accountability.

Senator Cruz also said that the government's move to amend the election laws and the attempt to dissolve the opposition party CNRP, was Prime Minister Hun Sen's efforts to «disable the institutions of democratic governance.»
