Cambodian CHHOR BUNSAM Investment company and the French PLATTARD company decided to join together to invest in building a modern cement factory in Cambodia at the end of this year. The two companies plan to spend around three million dollars for the investment.
CHHOR BUNSAM, executive director of the CHHOR BUNSAM Investment company, told reporters on Monday that PLATTARD was the first French company which decided to do a joint venture with his company in order to construct a factory capable of producing a variety of construction materials such as brick and cement.
Mr. BUNSAM added that the factory will do its best to use local raw materials to produce bricks and cement with high quality, as good as in France, that will be sold in a very reasonable price in the country.
