Three more factories to be built, around 2000 jobs to be created

Three more factories, with more than $50 million of investment, to be built in the Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone (PPSEZ).

According to the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), investors of the three factories already registered their factories this month with the CDC.

The first factory would be built by ANT FEED Company with $7.5 million of investment to produce animal feed and 146 jobs would be created by the factory.

The second factory would be built by DENSO (CAMBODIA) Company with $21.45 million of investment to make vehicle spare parts and 382 jobs would be created the factory.

The third factory would be built by MINEBEA (CAMBODIA) Company with $24.63 million of investment to make equipment for hospital and a number of other equipment. This factory would create 1,315 jobs.

According to Prime Minister Hun Sen's Facebook page, as of November 19, 1,107 garment factories were built in the country. This figure made the total number of private companies in Cambodia increase to 11,168. These companies have provided jobs to around 1.2 million Cambodians.
